How it works

Three steps between you
and a bid you don’t regret.

Scout sits next to your existing Vista workflow. You still bid on Vista — you just stop bidding blind.

STEP 01find

Filter the noise out.

Saved searches with real filters: category, MSRP floor, distance, condition. Email alerts that ping only when a lot actually fits.

small appliances≤ 50miMSRP ≥ $400
8 lots match · 24 ignored as spam
STEP 02analyze

See the resale range.

Each lot gets comped against FB Marketplace, eBay sold, and Amazon. You see a price band — and how confident we are about it.

$420 $64068% conf.
STEP 03decide

Bid up to the ceiling. Not past it.

A max-bid suggestion based on your target margin and lot risk. Cross it and Scout flags the lot red — your call from there.

Recommendation
Vista’s framing: “92% off MSRP.” Sounds great. Tells you nothing about what the stuff actually resells for, or whether $165 is already too high.

What’s in the tool

Six things Scout does so you
don’t have to open 40 tabs.

01 — alerts

Saved searches, no spam.

Email when something hits your filter. Not when something tangentially related goes live. You set the floor; we respect it.

02 — resale est.FB · eBay · Amzn

Marketplace-grade comps.

Sold prices, not asking prices. From the channels you actually flip on — not retail MSRP fantasy numbers.

03 — risk score!

Loss warning, not vibe.

When your current bid crosses into expected loss, the lot turns red. Inventory return tags, returns-heavy categories, partial manifests — all factored.

04 — clean search−spam −dupes

Search that doesn’t lie.

Deduplicated lots, normalized titles, exclusion lists. Search for “Ninja” and you won’t get sticker pages.

05 — range pricingw/ confidence

Honest about uncertainty.

Every estimate is a range, with a confidence number. Thin data? You’ll see “low confidence — handle with care,” not a fake decimal.

06 — deal trackingpost-win P&L

Did the prediction hold?

Log your wins and your actual sell-through. Scout learns your style — your margin targets, your patient categories, your flip-fast SKUs.

FAQ

The fair questions.

If something here doesn’t get answered, email [email protected] — we read everything during beta.

How accurate are the resale estimates, really?+

Median ±18% on the spread, at 70% confidence, across the beta cohort. We never give you a single number — only a range and how sure we are. When data is thin, confidence drops visibly, and you’ll see it.

Where do the comps come from?+

Public sold-listing data from Facebook Marketplace, eBay sold, and Amazon. We weight by recency, region, condition, and seller type. No data brokers, no scraped private accounts.

Are you affiliated with Vista?+

No. We’re an independent tool that reads Vista’s public listings. Scout doesn’t replace Vista — you still bid on Vista. Scout just helps you decide whether to.

What does it cost?+

Free for everyone in the beta. After launch we’ll land at a flat monthly that’s well below one mid-sized losing bid. No tiers, no Basic vs. Pro — one product.

Will it work on my phone?+

That’s the default. Scout is built mobile-first — the people we’re building for are mostly bidding from a phone in a warehouse parking lot or on the couch.

Why no exact prices, just ranges?+

Because nobody actually knows the exact resale price of a 14-item mixed pallet. A single number would be marketing. A range is honest — and it’s what you actually need to set a bid ceiling.
